Windows and bubble lights

As I was reading "The Shadow Year," I couldn't help but wonder about the characters windows. Do they not have blinds or curtains? The "creeper" wouldn't be able to see in if they did. That seems like an easy fix for me that, so far in my reading, no one has addressed.

Also, I had never heard of bubble lights before, so I looked up some pictures of them. Here's a link to see what they look like. Hope everyone's having a great spring break!

  2. I didn't think about that, but it seems like someone would either have blinds or propose that they buy blinds. And I don't know that many people that change in front of an uncovered window. I guess some of this you could write off as it being set in the 1960's in a small town where people didn't really worry about creeps that often. Even then it's a stretch.

I was wondering what bubble lights were, too. I think they still sell those in some stores because they look really familiar.
