Art's Hands

In "Pop Art," Art does not have fingers. His hands are described as pads with thumbs. Take a look at the picture on the right: tileshop_pmc_inline.html. It's called severe acrosyndactyly.

  1. Whoa that is crazy. Very interesting, though.

  2. I have a friend with webbed toes. This reminds me of her. It's only two toes on one foot, but it used to really embarrass her.

  3. Wow I find it really fascinating that Art's condition can be compared to real-life conditions like this one!

  4. I'm in toxicology right now, and there are a number of teratogens that cause "lobster hands" or flipper-like hands and feet. I believe that Thalidomide, a sedative used in the 1960s that you've probably heard of, has these types of effects. Don't quote me on that, though.
